SolidStepCote - Hotel Safety Anti Slip Coating

SolidStepCote Maintenance

SolidStepCote is requires no more than basic maintenance. Unlike floors treated with other non-slip solutions such as glue down strips or acid etching, SolidStepCote will not stain or trap dirt. It will continue to maintain its non-slip effectiveness under wet and oily conditions.

CLEANING: SolidStepCote treated floor, tub or other surfaces, depending on the formula used, may be cleaned with a mop, sponge or soft to medium nylon bristle brush using water and a mild detergent. Mopping or sponge cleaning is sufficient with SolidStepCote 01 or 02. A bristle brush is recommended with SolidStepCote 03 and 04 when dealing with surfaces covered with grease, heavy dirt or soap scum.

For oily Floor surfaces such as restaurant kitchens, dining or buffet areas, periodic use of a cleaner/degreaser in conjunction with the cleaning methods mentioned above is recommended for optimum safety and aesthetics.

DO NOT clean SolidStepCote treated surfaces with highly abrasive tools such as Scouring Pads, Motorized Rotary Cleaning Devices, Abrasive Sponges, Burnishing Devices, Steel Brushes, Diamond Pads, Sandpapers or Bung Devices. Over abrasion will damage the coating, removing the non-slip texture and mar the surface appearance. DO NOT use harsh Chemicals (pH greater than 8.5 or less than 7.0) to clean as they may damage the appearance or remove the coating.

REAPPLICATION: Depending upon the amount of traffic, SolidStepCote should last from one to several years before reapplication is required. In higher traffic environments, Solid- StepCote may be reapplied locally as and when needed. Refer to 'Application Instructions' sheet for details.

REMOVAL: SolidStepCote may be removed with the use of EcoKleanz, a vegetable-extract based solvent from Liquiguard Technologies, Inc. Most everyday chemical solvents will not work on SolidStepCote.

STORAGE: A water-based solution, SolidStepCote should be stored in above freezing temperatures. Recommended storage temperature range is from 60°F to less than 80°F.
